Our 1 year old Choc Lab Ceelo never had any trouble sleeping before but in the last 2 weeks he has begun crying and barking at 4am and will not settle. We've tried ignoring him, going down to him, lots of different things but no joy.

Help!

Does he sleep near you or in a far away room? Crate or on a dog bed? If a crate, how big?
Labs are big active dogs who need space to roam, even at night. They also love people and want to sleep with them (of course all dogs do, but the retriever has been bred to be a people person).
