    Hot Water Heater
When hooking up a Sears Kenmore hot water heater, we hooked the hot water line into the cold water inlet and the cold water line into the hot water outlet. After running the system for a few hours and realizing that we were'nt getting any hot water we shut the system off and will now correct it. My question is did we damage the hot water heater or its internal elements in any way?? Thanks Michael

You did not damage the unit just by reversing the inlets.

How did you manage to reverse the hot and cold water lines. The cold is on the right of the water heater, and normally the same coming out of the wall.
Like ballengerb1 said you did not hurt the water heater or any of it parts. I do hope that you left the dip tube n the cold water inlet.
