Stock of food & beverages at 31st December 2011 was £10115.

Although the customer levels are reasonably stable the hotel owner believes that undertaking one of two business ideas can boost demand and profits. BPI are considering implementing one of the following two proposals:


Proposal 1: HEALTH SPA

The land adjacent to the hotel has recently come on to the market. After extensive development, the land is going to be used to build a small health spa at an initial cost of £155,000.

Proposal 2: KITCHEN REFURBISHMENT

The kitchen area has not been refurbished for several years and most of the kitchen equipment has a nil residual value. The head chef believes that kitchen refurbishment and purchase of new equipment will enhance productivity. This will initially cost £120,000.
