    Algebra word problem
    I have to solve a word problem using a method called HES (Heading, Equation, Solution). In the problem, there are 2 unknowns and we have to have 2 equations so that we can either use substitution or elimination.
    I have to let x=?(something)
    y=? (something)
    The word problems is as follows:
    A woman earns 15% more than her husband. Together they make $69,875 per year. Find both salaries.

    What are your two unknowns here? Set x to one of them and then set y to the other. Can you post what you get up to now?
