    Excessive vaginal bleeding
Hi my name is belinda. Currently I'm on my menstrual bt have been on for the past two weeks. Blood is in abundance wt clots. I have to change my pad almost every hr almost bt I don't feel light headed or anything from loss of blood. Recently this same thing happened about 3 months ago.I went to the emergency room cause it was on going for over a month. They gave me test, did x-rays, sonograms etc bt came up wt nothing. He prescribed me a birth control type med to use for a week and it stopped the bleeding. But now its happening again. Wht could be the problem, cause I know its not just NOTHING. Please help me. I don't have the finances to go through that process again for nothing.

    Hi mzqueenb16,

Do you have a regular gyn whom you see? There are a number of possible reasons for irregular bleeding that they might want to check into.

Yes, a ER is not always the best place, you need to go to a gyn and have the exams

Go see a gyn. There are many causes behind excessive vaginal bleeding. But if your periods are that bad that you need to change your pad every hour and have clots the size of near quarters make an appointment as soon as possible because there are things they can give you to try and regulate everything. I had the same problem. They will probably put you on a birth control pill first to see if that can regulate it.
