    Can I be fired if I am on sick note?
    I work for a cleaning company for 3years and 9 months as a mobile cleaner,I have a company car and I drive all day around contracts to clean,I'm on sick note since oct 17,due to Vertigo I can't drive or do the work I used to.My Doctor has given me the fit notes and I send themto office ,today I have got a letter from them saying they want a meeting with me.Can they fired me even on fit note?

    You could be fired in the USA since you are likely an "at will" employee. The UK does not recognize this concept so they have to give cause. Inability to perform duties can be cause
