Older diesel starts and runs for a few minutes then dies what could it be?

. Ensure the under hood and under frame fuel filters have been recently changed.

. Ensure the engine oil has been recently changed and is up to the FULL Line.

. Check the fuel pressure. Replace the fuel pump, if you sense it's old and weak (especially when it warms up).
