I am 23 years old and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I have been trying to conceive for the last 3 years and was prescribed Metformin 500mg twice a day about 4 months ago to help regulate my periods. After a recent visit back to the doctor and no changes in my missed periods my dosage has upped to 1000mg twice a day. However, I did start my period one week before the Metformin dosage being upped (it was my first period in 4 months) but then started a second period two weeks after my first one (one week after the doctor upping my dosage to 1000mg.)
So my question is did I receive a second period from the dosage of my Metormin being upped, or could I have had a miscarriage?
