Sugars in Milk (Canada and US)
Why does the nutrition label on US Half and Half state the sugars are 0 while the Canadian label states it is 1 gm per Tbsp (which would equal 14 gms per cup) I don't understand how any milk product other than pure cream could have 0 gms of sugar. Any ideas?

My 1/2 & 1/2 says 1 gram per serving. 2% milk says 11 grams. However, the 1 gram is per 2 tablespoons and the 11 grams is per 8OZ. You are not expected to drink 8OZ of 1/2 & 1/2. Your particular brand may have sugar levels per serving that are below the threshold measure the USDA uses but still contains some sugar.
