    Replacing French Doors
    Hi,

I have French Doors in my living room leading to the backyard that also includes a third stationary door that won't open. I'm attaching a rough picture of what it looks like.

I would like to get rid of at least one of these and possibly even replace two so that there is just a single door going out to the backyard. This is right next to my kitchen, and I would like to create more space to add a bar on.

Does this sound like a crazy project for me to try to take on myself (with the help of family - one of which is a carpenter)? I am thinking I would just need to frame in where the doors are now, hang the door, hang drywall on the inside, and cover the outside with the same siding I currently have on the house. Anything else I need to consider?

Thanks so much for any thoughts.

    Christy

In my experience customers regret losing the light.
I recommend considering replacing with one hinged door and two large windows
