How do I find out why my 1998 Toyota Camry i4 stopped running while driving. I checked the coil no fire.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Check for codes.

. Replace the coil--common failure on Toyotas.

I was driving down the road when it stopped. Just like I cut the switch off.Also I have a proplem with the transmission not shifting.It will start in first then go to 3 you can pull it down to 2 then to drive it shifts.We replaced sensors it did the same. Now the funny part (Also had transmission guy to work on it still the same)i just put another transmission in and it shifts the same
