I am trying to start a tumblrblog that lists funny stories of technical support- you know, like the guy who called-in because his cupholder wasn't working any longer.

I know they're out there- I'm looking for people who would be willing to share theirs.

Years ago I worked for a cable company in the US. I was doing internet tech support via phone. This customer called in was from Florida. He was upset because his internet wasn't working. So we did some basic troubleshooting steps and I ran some tests from our end. I asked the customer how many lights he had on the modem and he proceeded to tell me that his modem wasn't in the same room. So I asked him if he could go see which lights were on the modem. He proceeded to tell me "I can't cause the modem is on the 1st floor of the house and is under 4 feet of water." Before I could absorb this info he said "Does the high winds have anything to do with this?" I then realized he was in a town that was currently undergoing severe flooding due to a hurricane passing through. I had to tell him that I couldn't help him until the hurricane passed through and advised him to try to seek safe shelter if he could or stay upstairs above the water line.
