My dog swallowed a 2 inch section of a tbone steak bone
My Labrador swiped a cooked tbone from the counter during dinner. I grabbed it from him, but as I did so, he bit down on the middle piece, and it broke off, and he swallowed it whole before I could do anything. Is there anything I can give him to help him digest the bone? Or help it go through his system without killing him? I have been laid off, have maybe 400 dollars in my personal savings, am living at my sisters rent free, and I have no credit so I can't take him to the vet unless he gets to a really life or death situation. If I wasn't so beyond broke I'd take him to the vet in the morning just in case. Please help me, I'm really scared for him.

I'm a cat person, but have been on this site for a long time and have read that the Dogs Experts advise people to feed lots of bread to their dog to surround and cushion the bone fragment so that it won't tear into his intestine wall.

Also, call the vet in the morning and talk with a vet tech or the vet himself about this. They may even be willing to work out something with you so you can bring him in for a checkup.

Thank you, I will try both those things.

Is your dog having bowel movements as normal? Any blood in the stool? Vomiting?
