I have not taken singing lessons but a lot of people told me that I was pretty good how can I get recognized ?

I would say to look at other breakthrough artists today to find your path to fame... for example, Justin Bieber... YouTube made him big and got him spotted by some music executive... there are talent competitions like american idol and americas got talent... you could try the local bars for karaokee nights... try your hand at writing songs and singing them on YouTube... or copyright the song and see if any artists like it enough to sing it themselves... these are just my ideas... good luck on whatever route you take. :)
