    Dell latitude d505 no bootable devices
    I have dell latitude d505 when I start it says no bootable devices - strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility. I change boot order several times but all in vain. Please help me I'm in trouble. Thanks Afzal

    Sounds like your hard drive has died.
    Replacements are easy enough to source.

    It could just be the operating system. If you got the operating system disk with it, put it in and try changing the boot sequence to run off the disk drive. If that works, then you will need to re-install the operating system onto your hard drive.

    If it was the OS the error message would be different, normally No Operating System Found.

    Well that confirms it. Dead drive.

    If you are really lucky it may simply of become disconnected, but I doubt it.
