Another "can't get the globe of my ceiling fan" questions...
I have tried the solutions I have read to the other similar, if not identical, questions but still no dice.

I moved into a new (new to me, anyway) house and now the bulbs have gone out in the ceiling fans that came with the place. The light globe is a new style to me and sits flush with the metal housing with no retainer screws of any sort. I have tried the pushing up and turning clockwise and counter clockwise, not pushing up and turning it, with and without rubber gloves, etc. etc. but not a bit of movement. The heat can't be holding it cause the bulbs have been burnt out for months while I attempted to find out a way to change them. I really would rather not buy new fans since I really cannot afford to, but we need light in the living room at least.

Here are the details I have on the fans:
    52" Ceiling Fan
    JY-97278
No brand name or anything else on the fan
They are silver/stainless steel and have 3 blades

You must use two hands and unscrew counter-clockwise. No pushing, just a firm twisting motion. If you do buy a fan, I would sure like to buy the glass shade from you as my son stuck his head through ours and finding a replacement is worse than pulling teeth!

    Hi RLohran

Hopefully Mentl will drop back in and see your post as he/she posted this question back in November... ;)

If you know the manufacturer (I think it may be a westinghouse fan), they should be able to provide a replacement glass shade for your fan pretty quick off just by contacting them via their website... maybe/hopefully?

Thanks for posting the solution to the question!

    Good luck!
