Hi, I had two bumps on my genital area on the outer area where hair growns. I remember at least one of them being very itchy for a short time, now they are both dry, scab-like, "flat" bumps. They do not look anything like the pictures I see online of genital warts but I was told years ago that I tested positive for HPV. I have not been told this for years and my gyne never tells me that I need to be worried about these spots. Can anyone suggest what these things could be?

Could be nothing more than ingrown hairs. However, your doctor is in a better position to examine them and give you a definitive diagnosis.
