The data plate will tell you how many Volts and Amps, almost all of which is for the motor for the air handler. If this is 120VAC, multiply the Amps X Volts. 120VAC X 8 Amps =960 Watts, almost a Kilowatt. Multiply that by your KW rate tells you how much it costs to run the heater per hour. Motors draw more at startup.
