    Effects of time
Where would I look for a job based on time since a felony conviction? Mine was in 1988. I would like to think that 19 years would make some kind of difference.

    Depends on the crime.
Your best bet is to go to a potential employer and deal with them face to face; if you seem like a nice guy, they might give you a break.

I sure it will in many cases, you may want to consider going back and getting it explunged, so there is no record of it for background checks.

There are some jobs of course, that will not allow any convicted of a felony besides DUI to hold. But in most if you address it directly you have a better chance.

    Hello george:

What? You haven't worked since 1988?
