    Use the general form:

    y = mx + c

    where m is the slope and c is the y intercept.

    What you do is first use the slope and the point given to get the y-intercept c, which you can put in the initial equation to get the complete equation. :)

    slope is defined to be the change in y over the change in x. so...

    6/7 = (-6-y)/(5-x).

    now you but it in a form your teacher will accept.
