My 32 inch panasonic TV won't turn on. I had the on and off switch replaced like 8 years ago. Do you think it is the same problem . They said it was due to the switch over heating

If you read across the switch with a multimeter in resistance you should read 0.0 ohms when you switch it on - not plugged in of course. If not, the switch will need to be replaced.

There are a lot of possible causes.

First off, what's the model number?

Are you able to turn it on with the remote control? Do you get any standby light? Does it blink when you try to turn it on? If so, how many times?

Have you tried unplugging the TV for a while, possibly over night, and plugging it back in?
