    Police record check after Diversion-Canada
Hi, I been caught shoplifting back in September I was arrested they took my fingerprints and photos, before the court day I was offered a diversion program that I accepted I completed my diversion program now as I'm getting a new job I must provide them with police record check. Would my police record check show that I might have police record box no#4? If yes is there any way erasing my record?

    Thank you

It is actually a background check that you order (and pay for) at your local police station. It is confidential information that is only given to you. Have it done and see if it mentions you being charged, but if you were offered the diversion, I don't think this will show up on your background check.

    Hi there,

Just wondering, did it ever show up on your police check? I'm in the same situation as you were before, and was wondering how it affected you if it did show up on the check. Sorry if I'm asking for too much!

    Thanks for your help!
