    Water shut off valve
I'm moving into a mobile home, and the master bathroom sink was missing a pipe to connect the hot water shut off valve to the sink itself. I cut off a small piece of pipe and inserted it into the shut off valve to make sure it would fit and it locked into place.

How do I remove that piece of pipe? Do I have to replace the valve entirely?

Can you post a picture of it ? In the interim: It looks like you have a valve with "Shark Bite" like outlet. There is a small ring-like piece of plastic where pipe entered the valve. Push on that ring and at the same time, pull the pipe straight up. Let me know how it went. Milo

I don't have any way of taking a picture right now, but you described what the valve is perfectly. So I should probably use a flat head to push down the middle of the pipe and down on the ring-like plastic while pulling up on the pipe, correct?

    Thanks for the quick response.

The trick is that you have to push on that plastic ring evenly on both ends or use "U" shaped ring specifically designed for this purpose. Milo

    Hello SPC,

Do as Milo instructed you push on the ring and pull up the valve if that will not work, go to home depot and get a plastic disconect clip see the amage below, Thanks.
