You may file for divorce You may be required to pay child support on the one in high school. For the ones in college, it will depend on what state you life in ( if in the US)

If you are determined by the court as unable to care for yourself, but she can not just put you in a nursing home.

Depends on the laws in your area. Check with a lawyer. Every area, country, state, county etc has different laws. In my area I get half but it's based on the number of years married. So If I was to marry a millionaire and he made most of his money before marriage I would only get half of what he made while we we're married. But some places will give half period. You would really have to check with a lawyer.

It varies by County and State, not by County. Matrimonial Law in ALL States is a State law.

Only an Attorney in YOUR area can tell you what to expect - or not to expect (or pay or not pay).

Once you are divorced your wife has no power over you and can't put you anywhere without your consent. She also can't "put" you in a nursing home if you don't qualify under that particular home's standard of care.

I am not aware of the "I can only get half of what you made when we were married and nothing you brought into the marriage" "rule" (outside of a prenuptual agreement) but I am addressing only NY.
