You probably has uncontrolled eating habit I bet if you replaces some of your selection with some other thing you would lose the weight. Why don't you go outside and do walking? Or you can just rides a bike for a little bit.

2 lbs per week is a VERY big task-(26 wksX2=52) I think 6 months is not enough time. As a rule, any diet that claims to lose a lot of weight over short period should be avoided, and instead a healthy lifestyle should be adopted, encompassing all aspects of life that helps the person to lose weight. It is important to adopt a total approach when trying to lose weight, in doing so you must undertake a lifestyle change which can range from ascertaining the real cause of obesity, dieting, an exercise program, will power and support. But, prior to undertaking any such program it is important to first set a realistic expectation which I believe would be 1 lb per week. Good Luck but don't be unsafe in dieting, no magic pills or diets; slow and steady is the best program. Have you looked into commercial programs, Weigh Watchers, Curves etc?

6 months is not enough time to lose 50 lbs and do it properly, you will need a year or more at lease. It is done though exercise, proper diet and controlled snacking

I happen to be someone who thinks weight loss doesn't need to be linear. It's OK to lose more pounds at first, for about 6 weeks, and then taper off as you get closer to your ideal weight. But as someone who has gained and lost a few times in my long life, I found that my clothes gave me more encouragement than a scale. Concentrate on small servings of healthy food most of all, and NO JUNK FOOD or soda or sweets or fries or all those empty calories!! There is no other way!

Thanks you to all of you. Judging from all the answers I guess 6 months isn't long enough. I think I need a better diet too, caught myself drinking a lot of soda right after this question. Another thing I'm around 11 and I took the advice from the previous answer and tried on many new clothes. I found it boosted myself esteem. For once in my life I didn't feel like a gross slob! I'm trying to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I was also losing weight before but I keep putting on more and more.

Another thanks I really think all these are helpful.

    What does this mean?
    Are you 10?
    Are you 11?
