I just replaced the heating element in my Kenmore dryer and it still does not heat. Should I try the thermal fuse next or the thermostat and about how much does each cost? The Model/stock # is 86273100 62731

Did you test the continuity of the dryer element before replacing it? I would have done fuse first. They cost anywhere from $5-15
You will never be able to fix something by guessing. Why don't you buy a $10 volt/ohm meter then you will know what is bad and what is good, otherwise you can change all of the parts and still not fix it. I cannot understand why someone will change parts without testing first-it's very easy to use a meter. DrTom4444
