My dog cut the inside of his lip
We were a the doggie park and he had a head on collision with another dog all was well after but he cut (bit) the inside of his mouth - not bleeding anymore but wondering if there are any treatments I can do to make sure there is no infection?

No, not that I know - I think you have to just keep a close eye on it. Is he having problems eating or drinking?

I'm guessing he's a Rott - they are wonderful dogs.

You can buy this anti-septic "stuff" from the vet that you can add to the water. Most dogs won't drink the water, it has a minty smell, haven't been brave enough to try it myself yet... But really, a dogs mouth is pretty darn clean on it's own, I agree with Judy, I wouldn't go with any additional treatment. Keep an eye on it for a day or so, unless it looks infected or he has trouble eating/drinking I would let nature take its course.

Ever smell that "stuff?" I wouldn't drink it either. I swear the smell alone can cure an infection!

It sure clears the nostrils I know that! It's expensive too! Especially since more than half goes down the drain. --hmm I wonder if it works on clogged drains?--
