What does it mean when a friend says "I love you"?
I have this friend who is now texting me love you, love you, or bye love, every time we text (which is everyday). I'm from Europe and I'm living in America now (she's American) and if this was (where I was raised) in Berlin, it would mean she actually liked me. So what does it mean?

It may just be that she is very comfortable with you and thinks of you as a great friend. For some people that can be a common way to end a friendly conversation.

Has there been any talk of more feelings than just friendship? Has there been any other indication of possible stronger feelings?

It may be that she has indeed developed stronger feelings for you. How do you feel about her? Would you be interested in more than just friendship?

You could ask her about it in a fun way: "Hmmm, you love me do you? Are we talking friendly love or "love" love???" See what her response is.

It is very likely that it just means she thinks of you as a really good friend. I have several good female friends who end phone conversations by saying that they love me, and I always say "I love you too." Many of them are dating other guys (and even if I'm dating another girl) we still say that we love each other.

While there is a chance that she could mean something more, its most likely just a sign of friendship.

Love has many forms. You can love a family member, a friend, and a lover. Only way to know someone's love type for you is to ask them.

It's a tricky that is. 9 times out of 10 though she just thinks of you as a really good friend.

Basically one of her girlfriends its an awesome thing to have being that kind of a friend with a girl can make for some of the best times of your life
Just as long as you don't have those typ of feelings for her

I say keep it friendly and try to be more open with her and fun with this new friendship!

    All the best

If they are a good friend, a silly idea, ask them? Only they really know what they mean.
