I had an abortion in December 2009, I was 6 weeks and 6 days on the day of the procedure. Since then my period has been irregular, I have tried birth control for about 2 months this year but after I stopped taking them, my period didn't continue. I am really worried that I might never beable to have children in the future.

Non regular periods just make it much harder, normally, not impossible. I also think you stopped medication before it had a chance to start regulating your cycle. You should talk with your doctor or a fetility expet.
