Am I able to remove A two piece surround and still reuse it?
Am I able to remove A two piece surround and still reuse it? I notice mold (black) I believe, and won't to remove the surround to see if I have water damages. Any advice would be helpful.

Why not save the shower and simply open up a wall to check for mold? Seems a lot less work and bother. Regards, Tom

That sounds like it would have been the easy way, But I have started the job. I had bad mildew or mold at the seems. I would like to get behind the surround to look for water damage. Is there a way remove the surround or am I out of luck. I have all the nails out and the surround is free but it seems stuck with the tub. Any suggestions?

If the seams bare glued then you're out of luck. I never got in to remodels. My experience has been with construction and repair so while I've connected the base to the drain I've never installed one. We have a remodel expert that just came on board.
I'll contact Lokencontractor and see what he has to say. Good luck, Tom
