Dog eating stool and only eats out of my hand
Hi! I have a Terrier mix who is 6 months old. I noticed about a month ago that when I would take her out in the mornings there would be stool stains on the newspaper in the laundry room but there was no stool to be found anywhere. I realized that she was eating it when I woke up earlier than usual to take her outsid and found a piece of it in between her paws. I also realized that she is no longer eating from her bowl and would eat only if I fed it to her by hand. I have tried everything to get her to eat out of the bowl, even buying different ones. Can someone please help me figure my Sophie girl out? I would be very grateful.

Take her out for a long walk before dinner at leat an hour, then put dog food in her bowl. You should also take her to the vet. Only give your dog treats by hand but not dog food.

Since he is doing it at night, cleaning it up before he has a chance won't work. You can control the stool eating by adding stuff to the food, pineapple juice, canned pumpkin, or the commercial products, Forbid or Deter. Fortunately the worst damage it does is to the sensibilities of the owner.

To get him back to eating out of a dish, see the ''My dog won't eat'' sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post254171 If he still needs papers overnight, look at the housebreaking section too.

I would never discourage walking your dog, but I fail to see how doing so would help either problem.
