I've had my IUD for almost four years now. After the first year passed, my cycle disappeared. I am not able to feel my strings and I have been trying for a while now. About five months ago I have seen spotting every month around the same time lasting two days every time. Well this month I saw that my cycle came on kind of heavy the first day and spotted on the second. While having intercourse I had a large amount of bleeding afterwards. Can someone tell me why my body is doing this?

It could be due to a change in hormone levels. Always wise, however, to let your doctor be aware of unusual bleeding so that they can check the placement.
