Can I install a ceiling fan into a ceiling that has a clip lock roof?
We have two bedrooms without ceiling fans. We would like to put a ceiling fan in as during the night I prefer not to have the ac on. The problem is the standard ceiling fans need ample space in the ceiling/roof cavity and because ours is clip lock there is not much space. Does anyone know if there is an alternative? We have free standing fans at the moment but they seem to take up so much space.Thanks.

I cannot find any info on the Internet about a clip lock ceiling, I have found roofs.

The outlet box for a ceiling fan must be securely attached to the buildings structure, framing, etc.

The box must be rated to support ceiling fans.

Somehow access is needed to get the box mounted directly to the framing above the ceiling.

Can you provide some info on your ceiling?
