I just baught a great looking helmet m40 w looks 100 per original... now the problem is it has no maker mark, size, or lot numbers on it! No markings visible at all. Is it real?

What kind of helmet? Football? Bicycle?

Ww2 german m40.. i collect them and am fairly good at detecting fakes.. this helmet is spot on xcept for maker mark, size, and batch no. are not there or i hope just under the paint! Wondering your thoughts on its authenticity?
