I have a Toshiba Regza 47. I turned on the TV and I have sound but no picture at all. I tried the menu button and that doesn't even show up. Can you tell me what could be wrong with it and if it would be worth fixing? It is 2 years old and of course the warranted was up two months ago.

What is the model number?

Do you have backlight or no? In other words, does the screen light up when you turn it on and get brighter? Or does it stay solid dark black?

If it looks solid dark black, try shining a bright light on the screen and looking to see if you can see a faint outline of the picture (usually helps to go to a 4:3 channel and look where the black border would be).
