I'm trying to write a letter for my friend who's going to court in the morning , her child's father is tying to get custody of her child, I'm not sure how to address the letter regarding her as a good mother,

Is this a letter of reference? If so, then just write what you have witnessed about how the mother and child get along, about how she cares for the child, about how happy the child is.
