    Laptop hard disk malfunctioning
    Hi

I'm having dell inspiron 1545 with having windows vista home premium on it , long back my digital drive got failed. From tat time I'm using deamon tools for changing os.

I'm having 3 partions C,D and E. C is primary and other two are logical. I've installed windows vista on c and windows7 on E. I deleted vista and also formatted c drive using some software.
From tat time I'm unable to access my c drive. So I decided to reinstall my os(windows7) using usb stick.
So I tried it, then it went smooth up to half of installation process, den when wer I've to select the partion the problem occurred. I'm unable to select any of the partions finally I formated all the drives and tried to install still error message is displayed like

"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information."

Den I aborted the installation and check for diagnosis the error message displayed " 2000-0146" for hard disk. I called Dell support and they said the hard disk is corrupted.

After long search on Google I tried " hiren bootcd" from usb stick.

I runed the linux tool in it, now I can acess my hard disk from it. And even I can copy files to it.

Please help me to install windows or linux on my hard disk..
    Please

If you can read and wright to the drive you need to back up anything you want to keep. I prefer Linux so you could try one of dozens of distributions. Linux Mint is one of the easier ones to install and configure it comes with all the codices already installed and has a lot of features that make it easier for the new Linux user. Once you download the ISO file and burn it to a CD or a USB stick you should be able to install. When the formatter ask you select that you want to use the whole drive.
