It's been at least 20 years since I have seen this movie. I think it's set during WWII, but it could be that the soldier is from WWII. Toward the end of the movie his ghost returns to help several people push a heavy piano into a church. I think it's a Christmas movie but I'm not sure. I remember that I loved the movie but can't remember the title or actors. Thanks for your help!

OMG! I have looked for this movie for years!I watched it with my Mom when I was little.I did one year watch a tribute to old Christmas movies and heard a Title that seemed to fit.I thought that when I saw it in print ,I'd know it... but have searched in vain.My recall tells me that it had "Soldier and Christmas "in the Title.I will continue my search and hope that one of us finds this... I remember crying as the Parents soldier boy appears,I remember them having been bitter about his death, I remember the woods and blowing snow.

A Christmas to remember
1978 - elderly farm couple take in their city-born adolescent grandson for the holidays during Depression era... boy helps his grandfather overcome his grief over the loss of his son during WW1 and helps get a new organ for local church.
