    Denture gag reflex?
Hello I just got new dentures 11/7/11. And just had the stitches removed 11/14. My mouth is healing fast even though they had to cut a lot. My question is. Yesterday I went to get stitches removed and dentures relined to fit better. It took a while to get it to the point that it wouldn't hurt me anymore or rub to make sore spots. This morning after getting ready to go make breakfast for the family. I put them in my mouth and started to gag really bad. So I took them out and put them back and still gag. Why is this? It hasn't happen before. This hole denture thing is new for me.

Hi denture, this gagging problem is not as uncommon as you may think. It could be because your upper denture extends too far back into your mouth, therefore triggering your gaq reflex. You need to go back to your denturist for that one small adjustment.
