    Wage Garnishment
    Hello

I currently have a wage garnishment with my employer. I am leaving and starting a new job very soon. How long does it take for the creditors to come after my new job? Is is better to call them and try to make a payment arrangement? Is that an option? Someone please tell me how this works, thanks

With the judgment against you, they can garnish your wages as soon as they learn about where your new job is.

It is typically better for you to make an arrangement with them instead of them garnishing your wages.

If you do, though, BE SURE to get the agreement in writing that confirms that they will not garnish anything (wages or bank account(s) as long as you make the agreed payments.
