A movie from the 80's but I have a vague description
I am trying to find the name of this movie that I some what recall from the 80's. I only remember a few bits though. I remember there was a kid and a detective. I believe the detective was the game piece or connected to a board game piece (it looked like the 'stop thief' game piece). I also remember the detective being hurt or dying because something happened to the game piece. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm sure it's a terrible movie, but it's something I've tried to figure out for years. Thanks in advance!
