Will a judge give you more time like 2 weeks to move if you've4 been under doctors care and couldn't work, husband laid off, and you have a 5 year old child. My 7 day notice is up today, and I've explained all this to her but she wants us out.I have somewhere to go but not until 12/01/2011

If you received a 7 day pay or quit, then the landlord has to now file for an eviction order. This means a hearing. It is unlikely that a final order will be issued before 12/1. If not, if you can show the judge, that you have a place to go to, but it won't be ready until then, you will likely get that time.

I agree, that notice is just that, tells you to leave. If you do not leave then the owner can start the eviction process but that takes time. It will be well past 12-1-11 before you would actually be evicted.
