What side for dishwasher air vent?
Does it matter what side the dishwasher vent goes on

Could u give more detail? Most dishwashers are hooked into the sink trap. No additional venting is needed.

Is Dishwasher being plumbed separate from sink?

Which side of what? Does your location require an air gap? Most of them are gome away now since you can use a high loop drain.

An air vent is required in some cities and locations but not in others. Some people hide them under the sink in the cabinet so they are not visible. In Georgia, we do not need to have one, you use a high loop drain pipe. Most new dishwashers are equipped with a high loop hose. Check with your local plumbing dept to see if it is needed.

I totally agree, skip the air gap and go with a high loop if your code will allow. Here is the worst example I have ever seen, everything about this is worng. The Most Common Dishwasher Installation Defect | Structure Tech Home Inspections
