    Gas furnace blower motor replcement
Hello: I put all new parts on my furnace in August when it should be done for Montana. A local shop
Supposedly put in new sleeve bushings and cleaned the motor. After two months of working fine, the motor
Began sticking and it is much colder. I have to do something quick since I have to go under the house twice daily to spin it loose.

A friend offered to give me a brand new motor he has. It is 48 frame, 1/2" X 5" shaft, 115 Volt, 1/4 HP, 1075 RPM, 3 speed, with highest amp rating at 4.2, and capacitor included.

My old is a no longer available to replace, Franklin Electric, 48 frame, 115 volt, 1/8 HP, 1050 RPM, single speed, with two wire connection and no capacitor.

I believe I can handle the difference in wiring and think the capacitor will work, but will the step up in
HP and amp rating difference cause any problems? It's a tough job on that furnace and it is getting cold here.
Any help is appreciated and asap please. Thanks!
