Switch and wiring for a gas fireplace.
Have an older unit, with an off/on rocker switch side mounted. Have replaced the switch, to no avail... but the orange covered two wires from the switch... when I wriggle them further along.. fireplace will often light up. So... is it likely that I can just access the wiring from the switch to the... wherever it goes, and replace it (wiring)? I am not a'fix-it' person.. so, I am trying to not bite off more than I can chew.

Could be the connections of the wires to the switch, or a loose crimp connector on one of the wires.

Since your not a fix it person, this should be a simple fix for a qualified electrician.
