Flushes great just will not hold water in the bowl after flushing.

Replace the flapper. Water is leaking around edge.

Rjohnson, are you saying that the water in the toilet bowl is disappearing?

Chuck and I are getting a different read on this, a rare occasion. If your toilet flushes fine but then the bowl empties this would indicate a clogged vent stack that is allowing your toilet trap to be siphoned. Clear the vent by rodding from the roof. Let me know if you need more instructions.

    Hi Bob

I agree with u. Read the question wrong. I guess old age has past creeping up on me and is now running.
