The only thing you can do is to trace the water line and find out what the problem is that is causing the blockage. There may be a heater that heats the water line to keep it from freezing like there is on the drain; I don't know. If I knew the model number and brand name I may be able to look it up, but it all comes down to you looking at the line. There is a solenoid that controls the water going into the ice maker. These frequently get stopped up with lime scale and requires you to disassemble the valve and clean it out and soak the parts in vinegar to clear the little holes. The coil can also be bad and requires you to ohm out the coil to see if it is good. Focus on this solenoid first and you will likely find the problem, but also remove rear cover (you will need to do this anyway.) (unplug first) and clean out the coils because dirty coils will also cause the ice maker not to work. You will need to blow out the coils and wash them off with a spray of water keeping water out of the fan motor. Clean the fan blades and motor and oil motor, too. DrTom4444
