    Lovebirds in mixed cage
There are 6 lovebird babies aged 3 months and 2 lovebirds aged 6 months. These babies along with parents were added in a new cage but we noticed they are hitting each other especially the parents bite the babies legs. I think that because they are going to lay eggs, the protection is making them do this. Should we separate them or will they get used to this new environment?

I have had lovebirds. They do not necessarily live together in peace.

I didn't read up on them, had 4 in the same cage, woke up to one of them dead.

You are going to find a bird with its leg chewed off if you don't separate them.

I provided you with a solid, informational site when you asked another question about the lovebirds. Did you read it?
