I seemed to have gotten my period today but still have two more active birth control pills to take. I had sex over a month ago without a condom but I was on the pill and I am consistent with taking them. I have been on the pill for about 5 months. Is this normal? What is wrong?

How is the flow and quality of this period? Is it dark/brown, light, spotty, mucusy? Its possible your period won't fully start until your 'off pills'

Also, this is going to sound weird, but did you have sex yesterday? I have noticed for myself, that if my period is a few days away, and I have sex, for some reason sex will start the period early. Not sure why, maybe one of our nurse ladys will be able to answer for us.
