I'm replacing our Grohe faucet handle (LadyLux Cafe) Model # 33-755
The hex screw comes out but the handle does not come out. I'm afraid of breaking the entire faucet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott
If I remember here... all the parts need to come out... washers (part #46-310), too.
Click on this link:
Grohe 33 755 Ladylux Café Kitchen Faucet Single Handle Pullout
Scroll down the page and click on "Installation Guide"
Scroll down the installation instructions to the 3rd page where there is an exploded parts view... increase the size of the picture in the window until you can see it real close up. Here, you will see the two screws that need to be removed to gain access to the rest of the parts... ;)
Back to you...
Mark
Grohe Lady Lux kitchen faucet has quite a unique way of deinstalling body from the counter top. Most of the work is done from above. Do this:
( first: close h/c water, remove h/c water supplies )
1. remove spray
2. untie hose below the sink
3. pull out hose
4. remove spout (goose neck)
5. take Crescent wrench and untie the body using "flats" on brass column ( or use dedicated Grohe wrench supplied with each faucet )
6. remove body
Hope that helps. Milo
He's just trying to remove the handle, Milo... not the entire faucet... ;)
You know any trick that I forgot about? Last I remember I just had to pull the screw and then the washer and a small sleeve... but I had to pull the sleeve to finally remove the handle. Does that sound right to you?
Thanks.
I have exactly the same problem - I have removed the screw, and the washer and the white plastic washer and the lever will not slide out like the manual shows. Is there another small sleeve that I need to take out? Perhaps with a pair of needlenose pliers?
I have called Grohe and they recommended a mallet!
Any ideas?
Just to close - I soaked the faucet in vinegar for an hour and it loosened it enough to pry it off.
"I have called Grohe and they recommended a mallet"... OUCH! What a recommendation! Thank you for rthe update, Ken!

Ken, how long did you soak it for? I've had a paper towel soaked in vinegar wrapped around my handle for a couple of hours now, and it still won't budge. Mallet didn't help either.
